In June 2025, while attending a board meeting, I saw firsthand how a neighbor was affected by an architectural issue that appeared to be handled through selective and unclear enforcement. That experience motivated me to get more involved.

As I learned more, I was surprised to discover that our community has never had a board election due to low homeowner participation. With the encouragement of other concerned neighbors, I became involved in organizing efforts to help reach a quorum for this year’s election so Charleston Court can move forward with greater fairness and transparency.

To help address low participation, and with encouragement from other candidates and neighbors, I created the this website to share information and make it easier for homeowners to stay informed.

As I became more involved, I took the time to read and become familiar with our governing documents and the relevant Florida statutes so I could better understand our responsibilities and advocate for homeowners.

In the past year, I’ve been actively involved in bringing neighbors together. I facilitated an amazing group of concerned neighbors to review our HOA’s financials and decisions the Board of Directors made during the 2021 roofing project. These decisions led our community into debt for the first in its history and many of you were not aware.

As a business owner of over 20 years, I’ve learned the importance of careful budgeting, asking the right questions, remaining debt free, and planning ahead — skills I believe are valuable in HOA leadership

Wanting to better know my neighbors, I created a Charleston Court Facebook group in 2024 to give residents a place to connect, share information, and stay engaged. Many of you have joined and have benefited from the information that is shared.

Through teamwork, we also created an online survey to better understand what matters most to homeowners. Many of you shared concerns and ideas — from landscaping and safety issues to ways neighbors can better support one another. Your voice is important, and I believe a semi-annual survey would help ensure continued communication, understanding, and positive change

I would be honored to serve on the board and represent our community with fairness, openness, and a spirit of teamwork. We truly have a great community that deserves to grow in value both financially and as neighbors. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope I can earn your vote.
