Charleston Court needs homeowners like you to help lead our community forward. Serving on the Board of Directors is a meaningful way to improve transparency, make fair decisions, and strengthen our neighborhood.
How Much Time is Required
- Most board members spend 2-4 hours per month on board meetings, email communication, and reviewing materials.
- Officers (like the President or Treasurer) may occasionally spend more time depending on projects.
- All meetings are scheduled in advance, and we aim to keep them efficient and productive.
No Experience – No Problem
- Serving on the board does not require special experience — just a willingness to listen, learn, and act in the best interest of the community. We’re working to provide:
- A simple orientation guide for new board members
- A 4 hour certification course is available for all new members
- An experienced Property Management Team to guide and advise
The Positions
- President
Leads board meetings, sets agendas, and serves as the main point of contact between the board and the property management company. Ensures that board decisions are followed through.
- Vice President Supports the president and steps in when the president is unavailable. May lead special projects or focus on specific community concerns.
- Secretary Keeps meeting minutes, manages official records, and ensures that required notices and communications are sent to homeowners
- Treasurer Reviews financial reports, helps oversee the budget, and works with the property manager to monitor expenses and reserve funds.
- Director (At-Large) Participates in board decisions, provides input, and may lead or assist with committees, events, or homeowner outreach.
